Nigel leads facilitated workshop discussions with the Senior Leadership Team to create a shared understanding of the current internal and external context, identify and dissolve areas of contention,  agree strategic and operational priorities, then create  “breakthrough” projects with workable timeframes,  led and resourced by the appropriate people to fulfil them.

 

All this is undertaken within a clear, shared, refreshed understanding of the purpose and principles guiding the overarching purpose and reason for the company’s existence, including-

For the Senior Management Team

 

During facilitated workshop sessions with the combined Senior Leadership Team,  Senior Management Team and other key stakeholders, all above is discussed in open forum,  creating engagement, alignment,  and the commitment of the combined senior leadership,  senior management and other relevant stakeholder communities.

 

This stage creates and/or re-creates the required  alignment, engagement and commitment of the entire senior stakeholder community to the overarching purpose of the company and the guiding principles that underpin the company’s purpose. This becomes the essential backdrop for everything that happens within the company.

 

Once everyone in the senior leadership group is aligned around a shared,  overarching business’s intention,  the key areas for breakthrough and milestones (ie. measurable results) on the journey to realising each breakthrough, the company is set up to realise its full potential,

 

When this is all complete, the most senior managers brief their staff, with the intention of ensuring the work done by everyone supports and moves the areas requiring breakthrough forward.

 

On an ongoing basis, everyone in the organisation is regularly reminded about the company’s over arching priories, and the breakthroughs required to achieve them. Everyone receives regular progress updates, including feedback about their team and their individual contributions towards the breakthrough that will lead to the required results.
